Floyd Country Store
The Floyd Country Store is a real country store! You'll find bib overalls and barrels of candy among the items for sale. Better yet, it houses a great café and soda fountain featuring fresh, local, delicious meals. The Country Store is probably most famous for its Friday Night Jamborees, featuring old-time and bluegrass music and dancing!
Buffalo Mountain
Featuring a short, yet steep hike to a treeless summit, Buffalo Mountain is worth the effort for the amazing views. It is a nature preserve home to many protected species, so attendance is limited, meaning you can enjoy the experience without the crowds. On your way back into town, you can swing by Buffalo Mountain Ziplines for another kind of adventure!
Blue Ridge Parkway
Floyd County has over 40 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway Scenic Drive running through it! This stretch includes Mabry Mill (historic mill that is also the most photographed site on the parkway) and Rocky Knob recreation area featuring camping, cabins, hiking, and incredible views.

The Bread Basket is a gem on Route 8 that has an amazing deli and some of the most delicious cookies you will ever eat. Lots of gluten-free options too!

For wine drinkers and fine-dining aficionados - Chateau Morrisette is a working winery that has a fun tasting room and an award-winning fine-dining restaurant. This property along the Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful place to enjoy a glass or two.
Beer Lovers will really enjoy Buffalo Mountain Brewery and McDaniel's Tavern. Great beer, tavern fare, and live music and events – including Tuesday night Bingo!
Coffee enthusiasts must visit Red Rooster Coffee - an award-winning coffee roaster based in Floyd. Their café is awesome and features a great atmosphere, coffee, sandwiches, and baked goods.
