I have lived in many places over the years - including Florida, Illinois, Venezuela, New England and Northern Virginia - but I am extremely proud to have been a Blacksburg resident for over 20 years. Out of all the places I have lived, I can attest that the New River Valley is one of the best places to live in America.

I graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. After college, I worked as a Marketing Specialist in the data communications, commercial real estate and engineering software industries. Later, while my three children were infants, toddlers and preschoolers, I worked part-time as the Assistant Director of Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and also worked as a Real Estate Assistant for a top agent for 10 years.
